The first two days proved to be mega successful as they broke record-breaking number of 180 aircraft orders amounting to USD$28.5 billion. The bulk of the orders came from the fast-rising airlines in the Middle East.
There are a large number of orders for Boeing and Airbus aircrafts such as 787 Dreamliners, Boeing 777, and Airbus A320s to A380
The announcement of orders delighted the Airshow organizers since many aviation watchers thought that with the issue on the fuel price increases, a large number of previous orders will be cancelled but it turned out that there are still many airliners that are expanding their fleet.
